What to Expect
Prescription Submission
Your prescription is submitted to Accord Specialty Pharmacy by your provider. A benefits investigation is initiated to determine if your insurance will cover the medication. If a prior authorization is required by your insurance company, we can assist your provider with the prior authorization process, which typically can take 3-5 business days.
Pharmacist Review & Consultation
A licensed pharmacist will carefully review your prescription to ensure accuracy, safety, and appropriateness. If any questions or concerns arise regarding the medication, dosage, or instructions, the pharmacist will promptly reach out either to your healthcare provider or directly to you. This collaborative process ensures your prescription is filled correctly and safely.
Cost & Payment Discussion
We will contact you to discuss any associated cost and payment. We will review financial assistance opportunities to lower medication prescription costs as needed. We will discuss shipment/delivery convenient for you. We will answer any questions/concerns you may have.
Patient Handout & Important Information
Once we have successfully scheduled your prescription shipment, we encourage you to carefully review our Patient Handout. This handout contains important information you need to know, including details about our Privacy Practices, your Patient Bill of Rights, medication handling instructions, and other relevant guidance to help ensure a safe, informed, and smooth experience with your pharmacy services.
Delivery & Ongoing Support
Your prescription delivery will arrive safely at the designated delivery location you provided. Once your medication is received, our team remains available to offer ongoing support, guidance, and education throughout your entire treatment journey.
